For the renovation of Vega Suites, the client requested a partial renovation aimed at enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the existing hotel rooms while adhering to budget constraints. Drawing inspiration from the lively and colourful atmosphere of Tseung Kwan O (TKO), we developed two contrasting design styles that celebrate the essence of the area through vibrant colours, playful forms, and textured patterns that added spatial depth. Key elements of the original rooms, such as the headboard, wallpaper, and bathroom tiles, were thoughtfully preserved. Meanwhile, all new materials were selected to harmonize with these existing features, providing a cohesive and refreshing update to the overall design. Our approach also accentuated the architectural characteristics of the existing rooms, ensuring a seamless blend of old and new.
